Happy New Year Screven Family!
Yes, it's been a minute, but we are glad to be back on schedule now!
So many great things coming this year!
But first let's catch you up ......
Thank you for your faithful giving in 2023!
The Screven budget goal was met and many extra mission projects were completed
with your partnership.
In December 2023.....
2023 CHRISTMAS BACKPACKS.....
1204 Backpacks were delivered to Whitesburg Kentucky and distributed at 3 schools. Not only were they just given out, but a gospel presentation was given and heard by all the students, faculty and staff of those schools. The love of Jesus, the true spirit of Christmas, was shown in the tangible gift of the bags. The children of all ages were so excited and thankful for the bags. For some, it was more in those bags that what they received for Christmas. THANK YOU ALL for partnering together to fulfil the goal.
Plans are in the works to return to Whitesburg, KY this summer and work in the same schools were the backpacks were delivered. Our hope is that several Screven Churches will partner together and form a long-term relationship in the area to serve the community of Whitesburg. Planning, Preparing and Collection for 2024 Christmas Backpacks is already underway. If your church would like to partner on some level with this ministry, please contact Susan 843-870-4550 of Sharris@sbasc.org ASAP. You may collect individual items, fill an entire bag or donations are welcome too. The list of items for the bags will remain the same as last year. We will be releasing a few dates for packing parties and prayer over the bags soon!
Prison Packet Ministry
485 Prison packets were put together and delivered by Screven Baptist WMU groups.
18 Pastors and their wives attended the Christmas Appreciation Dinner.
8 Ministry Assistants had a fun time at their Christmas Party.

DISASTER RELIEF SPRING TRAINING 2024

EVENT DETAILS
This training will prepare volunteers to meet needs after a disaster, serving with SC Baptist Disaster Relief (DR). Classes will be offered in many of the ministry areas of Baptist DR. An “Introduction to Disaster Relief” class is required of all new volunteers. The day will include three training class times, a general session, a regional meeting, and lunch.
